What Time Will It Be 15 Minutes From Now?

Add 15 minutes to the current time. Fifteen minutes is one quarter of an hour. The result above uses your device's local clock and timezone, and it refreshes every second.

Current time + 15 minutes = Future time

On a 12-hour clock the result keeps AM or PM. On a 24-hour clock (military time) the day runs from 00:00 to 23:59. If the minutes reach 60, carry 1 hour and keep the remainder. If the result passes midnight, the date moves to the next day.

15 Minutes From Now in EST, PST, and Other Time Zones

The moment 15 minutes from now is the same instant everywhere. EST, PST, and every other zone only change the local clock used to display it. The grid converts that one future instant into common zones, including Eastern Time and Pacific Time.

Abbreviations and daylight-saving changes come from the browser's IANA timezone data for this date. EST applies to US Eastern Time in standard time; during daylight time the same zone shows as EDT. CST here means US Central Time, not China Standard Time.

15 Minutes From a Specific Time

These examples add 15 minutes to a fixed clock time. They do not use your current time — the live answer at the top does that.

2:45 + 15 minutes = 3:00. 45 + 15 = 60, so the hour advances and the minutes return to 00. The same rule gives 2:45 AM → 3:00 AM and 14:45 → 15:00.

8:55 + 15 minutes = 9:10. 55 + 15 = 70. Keep 10 minutes and carry 1 hour. 8:55 PM becomes 9:10 PM; 20:55 becomes 21:10.

11:50 PM + 15 minutes = 12:05 AM the next day. The hour rolls from 11 PM to midnight, and the date changes. In 24-hour time, 23:50 + 15 minutes is 00:05 the following day.

How to Add 15 Minutes

Use these three steps for any clock time, including one that crosses midnight into the next day.

1

Read the clock

Note the hour, the minutes, and whether the time is AM, PM, or already in 24-hour form.

2

Add 15 to the minutes

If the total is 59 or less, keep the hour. If it is 60 or more, subtract 60 and add 1 hour.

3

Check midnight and AM/PM

A result after 11 PM lands at 12:xx AM on the next calendar day. Noon stays PM; midnight becomes AM.

Two cases people miss

Hour change, same day: 9:50 + 15 minutes = 10:05. Only the hour digit changes.

Midnight: 11:50 PM + 15 minutes = 12:05 AM tomorrow. Do not write 12:05 PM, and do not keep today's date.

Daylight saving time: "15 minutes from now" means 15 elapsed minutes, not 15 ticks on a wall clock that is being reset. If a clock change falls inside that window, local time can skip or repeat an hour. The live result on this page follows that elapsed-time rule.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time will it be in 15 minutes?

Add 15 minutes to your current local time. The clock at the top of this page does that and updates every second.

What is 2:45 plus 15 minutes?

3:00. Forty-five plus fifteen is sixty, so the hour moves forward and the minutes reset to zero.

What is 8:55 plus 15 minutes?

9:10. Fifty-five plus fifteen is seventy minutes, which is one hour and ten minutes.

What is 15 minutes from now in military time?

Add 15 minutes, then read the result from 00:00 to 23:59. For example, 2:45 PM is 14:45, and 15 minutes later is 15:00.

How many seconds are in 15 minutes?

900 seconds. Each minute has 60 seconds, and 15 × 60 = 900. That is also 0.25 hours.

Is 15 minutes from now the same across time zones?

Yes. It is one future instant. Eastern Time, Pacific Time, and the other zones in the table only change how that instant is written on a local clock.

What if 15 minutes from now crosses midnight?

The result is the next calendar day. 11:50 PM plus 15 minutes is 12:05 AM tomorrow, which is 00:05 in 24-hour time.
